The international music festival "Heidelberg Spring" has taken place annually in Heidelberg in March and April since 1997. Highlights include classical concerts by world-renowned stars and young artists. An extensive supporting program offers concert introductions, film screenings, jazz evenings, and discussion forums.

Heidelberg Castle Festival
The Heidelberg Castle Festival is the most famous and most visited open-air theater festival in northern Baden. It takes place every summer in the inner courtyard or other areas of Heidelberg Castle. The Castle Festival celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2014.

Heidelberg Castle Illumination
Every summer, the legendary castle illumination captivates thousands of people. Bengal lights first bathe Heidelberg Castle in a mysterious red glow, as if the ruins were burning, as they so often did in its history. This is followed by a brilliant fireworks display over the Neckar River

Heidelberg Autumn
The large street festival with thousands of visitors takes place annually on the last Saturday in September in Heidelberg's Old Town. A wide range of musical styles can be found in the Old Town squares. A large arts and crafts market and numerous food stalls are located on the main street.

Heidelberg Christmas Market
Discover wintry Heidelberg with a mulled wine from one of the approximately 140 Christmas market stalls in Heidelberg's Old Town. Besides many delicious food and drinks, you can skate a few laps on one of Germany's most beautiful ice rinks in front of the romantic backdrop of the castle on Karlsplatz.
